NEW DELHI, FEBRUARY 22: While President George Bush was focussing on a new high in Indo-US relations in Washington, the CPI(M) was working full time to make a success of its protests against the Bush campaign. On Tuesday, it started a blog page, http://gobackglobalterrorist.blogspot.com, to broadbase its campaign against the US president’s India visit.

‘‘We are trying to build up the sentiment against George Bush’s visit ahead of our protests here on March 2,’’ said CPI(M) MP Sitaram Yechury, enthused that by Wednesday afternoon, there were already more than a dozen links. This is also the first time that the party is using a blog page to run a campaign. ‘‘You must remember that the campaign against Narendra Modi was on the Internet as well,’’ Yechury said, explaining that is how he thought of starting the blog page.

What does the party hope to achieve by starting the blog page? It perceives this to be an effort to encourage people to create more blogs and mobilise more people in opposing Bush’s visit, appealing to ‘‘all patriots, peace loving people on the globe’’ to have more blogs. The recommended content is poetry, photographs, cartoons, write-ups and humour.

Among the links is ‘‘A New Praxis in a Changed World’’, posted on Tuesday by Srini, Location: New Delhi that says ‘‘Ambush Bush’s plans before his Iran Putsch!’’. Another one shows the Abu Ghraib prison photographs. Obviously, imagination has been allowed to run wild. One link ‘‘Calculus and Bush’’ has an opaque message: Limit f(x)^n n—>infinity, where f(x)=GlobalTerrorist Go Back.

But, there are pitfalls and the party is not taking responsibility for all the links. ‘‘We are not responsible for the blogs and their authorship,’’ said Yechury.
(me thinks how tame!!!!!!!!!!! .......lol)
